Holiday supporters
We rely totally on the generosity of individuals. Donating their time and skills to make St. George's Bank Holiday happen. We need your help and it only takes a few minutes.
You can choose your level of involvement depending on whether you are an 'Armchair' supporter, 'Stand-Up' supporter or 'Stand-Up and be Counted' supporter...

'Armchair' supporter
We know you are connected to the internet because you're looking at this web page! So here's 3 easy things you could do right now…
1) Send an email to your MP and Councillor. It's simple. Just enter your postcode in the box on the left, you will be taken to a page with the email address of your MP and local Councillors. For an example of what you could write click here.
2) Send an email to the BBC (click here). Just ask what programmes they have scheduled for 23 April to celebrate St. George's Day. If you don't know what to write click here for an example.
3) Join our Facebook Page - www.facebook.com/stgeorgesholiday - and 'like' the page or add a comment on our Wall.
| Please, please, please always be polite when writing to people... remember, you are English! "Please" and "thank you" go a long way. |

'Stand-Up' supporter
So you want to be a 'Stand-Up' supporter? OK, you have to do all the things an 'Armchair' supporter does, plus…
5) Send a St. George's Day greeting card to friends and family. To view our free online e-cards click here. Let them know you are celebrating England's national day.
6) Print off 20 or more of our leaflets (click here) and deliver them to homes in your area. Some supporters have great success tucking them under the windscreen wipers of vehicles that have England stickers.
7) Place our advert on your website or blog (click here) or add the following text to the bottom of all your emails (click here).

'Stand-Up and be Counted' supporter
If you want to 'Stand-Up and be Counted' then well done! It's a great feeling. You will have to do all the stuff that 'Armchair' and 'Stand-Up' supporters do, plus…
8) Most national newspapers and other big websites have forums and chat rooms. Add messages asking if others plan to celebrate St. George's Day and add our website address.
9) Organise a St. George's Day party or celebration. It can be as small or large as you like. Just family and friends or ask if your local pub will be doing anything on 23 April.
10) Write a letter to your local newspaper. Wait until you get a reply to the email you sent your local Councillors and then comment on it.
