St. George Events
We are building a list of all the St. George’s Day events that will take place throughout England this year. Parades, family activities and other things to do will all be listed here. Please support these events so they become an annual celebration.
If you are organising a St. George event and would like to be listed on our website (free of charge), then complete the form ‘List your event’.
Bookmark this page and check back on 1 March as we start to list all the events across England and internationally.
Details: The annual St. George's Day Rotary Club celebrations will be held in Pinner Village High Street on Sunday, April 21st. The picturesque High Street will be closed to traffic for the day and transformed into a family-friendly venue for celebrating the patron saint of England, St George.
Entertainment usually includes bellringing in the Parish Church, folk dancing, live music, Punch & Judy, children's rides and games, face painting, food stalls and much more!
The Wheelbarrow Race
The highlight of the celebrations is always Ye Olde Wheelbarrow Race, a unique Pinner event in which teams of two take turns to push their partner in a wheelbarrow, drink beer and race around the streets of Pinner. This starts at Little Common (just past the Police Station) and ends at Church Farm Green (opposite the Parish Church).
