St. George Events
We are building a list of all the St. George’s Day events that will take place throughout England this year. Parades, family activities and other things to do will all be listed here. Please support these events so they become an annual celebration.

Details: The Newport St George’s Day committee are to hold their 10th St George’s Day celebrations in Newport High Street on Saturday, 20th April 2024
The day is a free event, and starting at 9.30 am, The Mile of Coins, which aims to raise £1000 for local charities, will be held.
Face Painter, Punch & Judy and Shrewsbury Morris Dancers from 11 am.
There will be a procession from 12 pm, followed by a live dragon slaying at 12:15 pm. There will also be Free tasters of Dragon Sausages and St. George buns, street buskers, Juggling Jim and his St. George puppets, and more. There is free parking in Newport, too! It will be a fun day for the family.
Please note Newport High Street is closed from 12 pm-1.15 pm!!
