St. George Events
We are building a list of all the St. George’s Day events that will take place throughout England this year. Parades, family activities and other things to do will all be listed here. Please support these events so they become an annual celebration.
If you are organising a St. George event and would like to be listed on our website (free of charge), then complete the form ‘List your event’.
Bookmark this page and check back on 1 March as we start to list all the events across England and internationally.
Details: The festival runs from 12 noon to 7 pm daily on Saturday 20 April and Sunday 21 April.
On Sunday 21 April the parade begins at Varley Street and starts at 12 noon. The route is as follows:
Varley Street, Oldham Road/Oldham Street, Piccadilly, Newton Street, Dale Street, Lever Street, Great Ancoats Street, Oldham Road, Butler Road, Bradford Road, and back to Varley Street.
The Irish Centre will be cooking up English breakfasts and Sunday Carvery before and after the St George's Day Parade.
Step into a world of tradition and warmth at the St. George's Day Parade. While there are indoor spaces for comfort, the Parade remains unchanged, following the same route and led by the same committee for the past 18 years.
There's no payment for any aspect of the event. It's a free-to-attend Festival. The Parade, whilst organised by a committee, is always free to attend.
